MOT Failure...

The old girl failed her MOT this morning on headlight self levelling (xenon) and headlight washer not working..

Am I right in thinking the suspension is used for levelling the lights not the headlights themselves?? ( I have a intermittent suspension warning)
I'm sure the washer is due to bloked pipe as I get a dribble out of them when activating them..

Thanks inadvance.

Martyn

AFAIK xenons have servomotors that level the lights, it’s by law like that.

Actually .....could be

Pre-2009 - not tested.
Post-09, no washers - nothing to test.
Post-09, washers on halogens - minor (=pass with advisory)
Post-09, washers on LEDs or HIDs - major (=fail)

They are a failure if factory fitted and you have LED or HID (Xenon) headlights fitted..
