Motor gone on front wipers, expensive repair?
Motor gone on front wipers, expensive repair? It's in 3 bits, lord knows how, think its when I switched them on with ton of snow on screen by accident. Also where do i get the scuttle plastic things you push into below windscreen as a fe2w snapped getting it out?
Ebay or 2nd hand?
Thanks?

From £10 on ebay for a used one or £45 for a new one...
Removal is easy enough, Gary (gstuart) did a great post on removing the scuttle panel and renovating it at the same time... "search" button above is your friend
Trims clips are available most everywhere...I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Previous model 1998-2005... probably won't fit...
Genuine LR parts are always (well nearly) way more expensive than other after market parts... you get the assurance that they will fit... no guarantee that they will last any longer (especially crankshafts)
If you can find an aftermarket wiper motor (new) on ebay then it will probably be cheaper than a genuine LR part... but make sure you look for the correct model ie D3 LR3 or one that fits both D3 & D4 ...I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Given that wiper motors per say are rarely an issue, a secondhand one would be the way to go.
I managed to break mine when removing the wiper arm, £23.50 including p&p from the bay of fleas, with a 3 month warranty, can't go wrong.
I chose to replace the wiper cover/scuttle panel at the same time as it had lost it's colour, it came with fixings and I think the total cost was around the £100 mark, and dead easy to do.
