Looks good matey, fairly easy fit too (easier than the LR winch carrier anyway). Get a certain bloke on here Wink to sort out the electrics and away you go (down the gym to get fit enough to lug the winch around and onto the receiver Razz )

I wouldn't be trust it, for one, the LR kit uses 3 x M14 fixings to the chassis rails each side - this kit uses the original M10 fixings, which are designed to hold the bumper rail in place - not to have any pull exerted on them, I certainly wouldn't trust them under shock load.... as mentioned before, there is the potential for a lot of torsional loading, particularly on the welds
Finally, the M16 bolt appears to be there to transfer some of the loading onto the recovery eye and also be a safety point should the primary fixings fail - not good as this will put a shock load onto the crossmember, potentially distorting the chassis, especially if only one fastener fails.
Finally, you also lose the use of the front recovery point Wink

Yea I see what you mean, however there are a number of M12 bolts located in various places. If these bolts are all rated HT 8.8t shear then I dont see a problem. I will ask the question. Wink

shear strength is always less than pull strength though, also depends upon the mounting plane as to the load... your choice though Wink
