There are so many things dealers and shops do that is really illegal, that it is quite silly. I have spent most of my life dealing with businesses getting them out of the mire from legal irregularities.

The average bobby on the beat no doubt could find fault with a brand new car somewhere, because I could I am sure if I tried hard enough.

Did you know that you must have the wattage printed on a headlamp bulb and that a reversing light bulb must not exceed 25 watts.

When is a fog lamp a driving lamp, when it is higher than 36"

When is a driving lamp illegal, when it is above 60" and so it goes on.

There are specific laws for vision or the lack of. Sun visors and green thingies come under that. The percentage of angle is the criteria the same as chips in the windscreen for the MOT.

On another note, bet you didn't know this:

Vehicle Excise Disks:
Discs must be displayed on the windscreen (nearside and near the lower edge) and be clearly visible from the outside of the vehicle.

NVGs and scopes are great for lamping, even if you miss the target it doesn't know where the bullet came from 8)
