Need help with suspension parts |
|
A few weeks ago my 05 hse discovery 3 was intermittently putting on the red suspension light with the message "suspension fault max speed 30mph" then dropping to bump stops as we drove. Clearing when we turned ignition on and off.
So we were assuming it was a dodgy connection As we don't have access to a fault code reader. After a quick poke around at the connectors we found that the drivers rear ride height sensor had gone green also a pin was very loose, every time you wiggled it the amber light came on.
Now after trying to clean it up we have an amber light on all the time and it keeps sinking when parked but still have control for access/off road mode.
We are assuming its the ride height sensor needs replacing, how easy is this to do? And does it need calibrating at a dealer after?
Also does anyone have a part number of drivers rear ride height sensor?

hi there, there are modified height sensors available and also a connector repair kit. once you have replaced the sensor and the connector run the system and if the car sits level then there is no need to calibrate the system!!! 9/10 you wont need to calibrate it. 8)
