Very nice.
Speaking as someone who has never painted anything on a car, what sort of prep and equipment did you use to get such great results please?regards

It takes me a good weekend once a year.
Wash it then clay bar, then with a good polishing machine like in the link, you can get better but this will do for personal use, I use poor boys stuff.

Don't scrimp on pads, a good pad is about £13, three different kinds (cutting polishing finishing) and 2 sizes 7 and 4inch.
Seems a lot but will last a while and that is what touches the pain, mess it up with cheap pads and there is no going back.

Luckily my mate used to do alsorts with cars. Painting to mopping and polishing. Servicing to crash repairs. So he taught me. The black pads you get with the kit are actually very good. However as markthegad said you shouldnt skimp on pads. 3m pads are brilliant and perfect for what you want to do.
The more you use the machine the more heat is made and alot of damage can be done to the paint. So a spray bottle is needed to keep the area wet and cool As you polish. (Also extremly messy. Well i am. Had to clean the 2 neighbours cars. Dads car. Front door and front windows.) the stuff gets everywhere. I had extremly bad bush rash and had to do the car 5 times. A medium cutting compound. A fine compound and then quickly went over the car with meguiars 1, 2 ,3 step polisher. This is very fine and alot of people don't like the stuff. However its ideal then spending nearly 3 figures on 3m's cutting compound For occasional use. And the step 3 caranuba wax is superb at removing drying marks and alsorts. Plus the water beads when it rains and protects the paint work. looks cool aswell 8)
Any more info just ask. If anyone has any questions against my way of working and have a reason to back it up please say. always time to learn.
