New Disco Owner with Audio Questions

Hi All,
After an expired motor on my FFRR I have defected to the Disco world.
2010 Discovery 4 XS

Just getting familiar at the moment but I have a couple of issues.

When connected to calls on handsfree and I take a call the music mutes as normal but I can only hear the call from somewhere in the boot area ?

DAB radio cannot find any stations and I cannot switch between DAB 123 The previous owner has said it worked fine with him but I have had the battery removed since buying the car, could this have upset something.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

Have you tried doing a hard reset ?

Can't say I've heard or read of this one before, so probably won't be much help, but in the absence of anything else:

Check the speakers with the audio working, do they all work and if they do, are they louder in the back? If so, go into the audio menu and balance it so the front speakers are louder, then try again. A hard reset might also be a good thing to try as nigethecat suggests. Another thing to try is to un-register your phone from the car then re-register it. Worth a shot perhaps, possibly register another phone too, just to check the problem is with the car rather than your particular phone.

That's me out of ideas.

Go to the WIKI link at the top of the screen and under 'common topics' you'll find Hard reset.

Not a solution but a possible explanation; when the front or rear parking sensors are active, navigation announcements, during a phone call the radio will mute.
DAB will not receive a signal near tall buildings, some areas have a poor DAB signal, initially I was very disappointed with DAB so much so I reverted to fm, but now I find it very good, it is very easy to change from DAB to FM simply by pressing the mode button on the left steering wheel switch.
Enquire locally which is the best DAB station in your area, 1,2 or 3.

Thanks

Thanks for the advice Guys.

I tried a Hard Reset Today and it seems to have cured the Hands free Issue.

DAB is still acting up, it is showing no signal on DAB 1 but I am unable to try DAB 2 or DAB 3 as it will not move.
After the reset I did another scan and it went through the normal scanning ok.

My old FFRR had an Alpine EZIDAB with a glass mount aerial and had good reception in my area and my truck has a Pioneer radio with a glass mount aerial and that has good signal too.
I am wondering if it is ok to fit a glass mount aerial on the rear side window and use a fakra 2 into 1 adapter and run 2 aerials to see if its any better.

Thanks
