New drive shaft or just oil seal?

I've just had a new driveway done and noticed that there's been a little oil dropped on it from the o/s front.
Looked underneath and there are signs of oil from the drive shaft to gearbox so suspect the seal has gone.
Can the seal only be replaced or is it best to replace the whole shaft assembly as the disco has 140k on the clock?

Advice would be welcome 😉

Just the seal should be fine.

Cheers Flack. Is it a big job. I'll probably get my indy to do it soon as it's making my new drive messy.

No if its somebody who has done them before should take no more than an hour providing the shaft comes out easy..and they are careful when putting it back in and dont catch the seal lip.

That's a great help Flack. Thanks Thumbs Up

I've tried looking on the net for a part number without success. Do you know what it is and is there a diagram?
