My new old D3

Hi all,
So had my D3 a month and loving it.
The one issue I was aware of as was flagged on April's mot was an observation on sills deteriorating.. I spoke to the tester before I bought car who said it was only surface rust really and took his word after looking as best I could also underneath at the time.
Well I've had it up on ramps finally today and after a better look, I feel reasonably happy it was fairly accurate.
The driver side is all way down and passenger side after the compressor which has took the brunt. Probably 12" at back on passenger side.
I can see into gaps around covers elsewhere and can see paint and clean bodywork but that could change as I pull the covers off to gradually treat everything.
So anyway I'll put some pics up and ask what's people's recommendations for dealing with this before the bad weather sets in.
I have seen dynax and dinitrol recommended here over hammerite waxoyl.
It's so hard to get decent pics with a phone lol.
Thanks
Rich
