Any advice on the best tyres to buy for 90% road use and 10% off - road?

Hi Young,
I love the Yokohama 265/60R18 A/T-S Geolandars I have. Extra sidewall height - but legal in NSW, as well as being pretty good offroad and exceptional onroad. I have over 45000 km on mine - and still have plenty of meat.
Cheers,
Rob

How important is the 10% off performance to you?

10% off road

Mostly on road, but the occasional trip off -road - rocky/gravel and creek crossings - need a tyre that can handle the occasional (but increasing with my increasing confidence) of off-road use. My current Wrangler tyres are going to need replacement soon (and have worn unevenly so making a noise as well). Not sure if I can achieve a balance of quiet on road with something that can handle what I have described in off-road. As always there seems to be so many choices!

If off road noy so critical you could try Cooper HT+ which are good on gravel but poor on mud. (although with mud and ruts setting on they are still better than the Wronglers) They have great puncture resistance and stroner side walls.
Otherwise it is Geolandars or GG both AT tyre with a bit more grip in mud.
