Newbie to Disco's
Aye up people
Just orderded an HSE in Zambezi Silver with Alpaca leather. Added a couple of grands worth of dealer fit extras such as privacy, side steps, mats etc etc.
I've been told that I have to wait until the middle of May for delivery - is this normal???
I'm also wanting to put DVD screens in the headreasts but they look quite slim - does anybody know if you can fit a 7" screen in them?
Also any other hints & tips on ownership would be handy
Swapping this from a jeep grand cherokee (my 3rd) so I have defected from the other side...

Welcome to the site Mike and congrats on your choice of new wheels I think the delivery time is about normal especially if you're adding factory options. Got mine within 5 days but took one from dealer stock!
Most topics such as DVD screens etc have been well covered recently, have a browse round with the search function, there was a company who posted recently (prestige car audio I think) that fitted twin screens on drop down roof mounts and they looked superb.
Are you planning to off-road the car? If so the active rear diff is worth having as I found out yesterday at LRE Skipton 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

i think the 7'' monitors can not be feeted to headreast, hever i hv seen
disco3 with 5'' screens on headrest, which think were''macrom''
also u will find pleandy of aftersale roof folding tyle screens which are just fine
otherewise its a fantasic car and u will love it.

Hi Mike,
I ordered mine virtually the same day as you and was told mid April
Thats for an HSE diesel with privacy glass and towpack in cairns blue.
I don't mind waiting as long as the cars ok,

p.s. I think 10 to 12 weeks is about normal for a factory order vehicle
