After 18 months of my ISP telling me it is BT's fault and vice versa I finally got BT out as I had a lot of interference on the line that also does my broadband. In front of the BT engineer I dialled the BTtest system and put "quiet line" on, even he admitted it wasn't right. within 2 hours he confirmed there was a problem, after 3 days it is still intermittent. BUT the good news is BT have finally admitted there is a problem, on the temporary and intermittent line they have given me I am getting 2 meg, before it was only .8 and they are now digging holes all over the cotswolds trying to find the fault! Oh yes!! Mr. Green

Why I've got BT, one can't blame other! Just wish hotel wifi was a bit faster, used to 7meg on Ethernet connection, 5 over iPhone/wifi!

Wouldn't using the iPhone as a modem over umts be better/faster?
That is, if you have a data bundle on the iPhone otherwise better is also a lot more expensive.

I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Trouble with BT is getting an engineer who can fix it or even getting India to agree you have a problem in the first place, I had a number of problems for 18 months with phone and broadband that BT claimed on numerous occasions they had fixed the final straw was one Friday when my port on the exchange equipment was pinched by a lazy engineer, after a 70 minute call to India I was told my connection was working with no problem was promised an engineer call with the usual we'll charge you if there is no fault. After no broadband for 2 days rang BT again to find they had no record of my fault report, following 3 or 4 failed attempts to fix it due to a lack of kit in the exchange and being totally messed around I escalated the complaint to OFCOM. Result you seem to get a better service and the issues with broadband speed and quality they said they couldn't fix have been and BT seem to bend over backwards to sort it even down to sending an engineer out on a Sunday
