Noisy suspension

Hi all

The front suspension on my 2005 D3 is ‘noisy’ it clunks and knocks over rough roads (most of them now) I remember having the same issue with an 07 plate RRS and it was down to the two lumps on metal (harmonic dampeners LR called them) not being fitted until later models, does the Disco have these? Mine hasn’t got them. The suspension has been checked by my local garage and LR and all is well with no wear to speak of.

Anyone got any thoughts?

Cheers

I doubt the harmonic dampers at the back have any effect in the front suspension, I would have put the clunking down to worn bushes or other parts on the suspension

It’s got them at the back, it’s the front I mean, there are none on mine? On my old RRS I bought a pair from LR and fitted them and hey presto no more noise.

There isn’t any worn joints or bushes, it went into LR for a recall and they found a ball joint with slight wear and also a wheel bearing, I had these replaced, I’m damn sure if they could have found even the slightest problem elsewhere they would have jumped at the chance to increase the bill Big Cry
