Anyone on a trip to the US should check out ExpeditionExchange.com see following link for Silblades

This is a great "Goody" site and they will ship to your hotel over there, or to a UK address.

I had Sil blades on my Defender, they far outlasted the standard ones, but they do eventually need replacing!

I liked what I heard here so took the plunge and ordered the Silblades from the US. They were out of stock so I had to wait for 6-8 weeks. Eventually, with almost £20 for delivery, import duties, parcel force charges for collecting the duty etc, I must have paid around £50 for the wipers. I would have found this acceptable if they had been any good BUT they squeak more than the originals, skip across the screen worse than the originals and miss great swathes of the screen. One of the missed areas must be where the rain sensor is as the automatic wipe continues long after the last raindrop has fallen (making even more noise!!).

One of the biggest wastes of money I have ever spent!

Back to the originals until a better solution comes along!

Thats strange, the ones I bought from them are perfect. Silent, no juddering, no missed areas. Don't suppose it could be something on your windscreen that needs cleaning off ?

In desperation, I picked up a "cheapy" pair from Tescos. PERFECT!! No judder, no missed patches, no squeaks just a beautifully smooth wipe.

I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Rolling with laughter I know. I should have got them from Nick. It would probably have been cheaper including postage.

Replaced my worn out Valeos on my D1 and the D3 with these. Excellent! Will buy a spare set for each vehicle whilst the prices are as they are!
