Not another EPB thread...

I've tried to sort out my EPB - and have done the in situ repair as outlined on this forum.

However, what i've discovered is that unlike most of the issues where the brass rod that turns the black plastic screw is at the end of its travel, mine is at the beginning and hasn't engaged the screw. So it turns but doesn't catch. Do you think there is a way to push it along so it catches without having to thread it in manually?
