Occasional weird behaviour after starting - no power
The D3 has done this twice now.
Jump in, start, go to pull away and there is nothing there. It hardly moves, kick down doesnt do anything. Reading the fault codes, gives P0489 Exhaust Gas Re-circulation Control Circuit Low
I clear it and drive gently and then it is back to normal.
Is this a sticking EGR valve - have read that they symptoms match this elsewhere. I have been chatting with Woody about blanking the EGRs off. I wasnt in a rush, should I do this sooner rather than later?

Yes!-but you will get a fault light on without upgrading the software. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I'm hoping Woody can help with the patch. Its a 2007 8A VIN.
Where is a good place to buy blanking plates that mean the EGR can remain visibly in place and what else do i need to do if i go this route? I am reluctant to remove them as the MOT regs seem to be looking for removed EGRs more these days - have yet to see if this will affect the D2!

Good morning all
I have a disco 3 which on uphill acceleration shows engine fault sometimes and other times it shows all 'special progs off' and losses power. I have to stop and restart. what could be the problem.
