United Kingdom 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Manual Tonga GreenDiscovery 3
Officially a Land Rover owner

I finally picked my D3 up today and does it look wonderful.

All the options were present and correct and all seem to be working when i left. I spent 2 hours being shown the vehicle, even the cabin pre-heat option that is there but have been told it does not work.

I have now travelled 100 miles or so today in what i can describe as terential rain, through the villages of bedfordshire and the car has performed wonderfully, the family feeling safe and secure all the while. The DVD system has kept the 2 children entertained for hours, this is a major plus point.

So, here comes the only problem, the Airbag warning light has come on twice during the day and have been told a visit to the dealer will be required on Monday.

Still with this issue, I think it's great and am very pleased with the car.

I am now in the process of reading the 6 manuals, it will take a while Very Happy

I didn't. I've seen them mentioned in passing before on this Forum, but no one fully explained what they were or why we should/shouldn't have got them with our new D3.

Anyone lend me a copy to watch/review - so I don't feel left out.

it's basically a DVD on one side with all the interactive 'introduction to the Disco 3' stuff and a CD on the other, with bits showing you how things (are supposed to ) work and all the manuals in PDF format...
PM me if you want to borrow mine and i'll post it to you

kept me amused for hours Rolling Eyes

So now i'm getting it 'early' so I should (apparently) be grateful Rolling Eyes
Think I need to 'focus' someone's mind... after I've taken delivery of course Wink

Ok, slightly confused. The DVD i was refering too was the one for the children in the roof, should i have received one with the Satnav system other than the map disk?

Have another question, does someone know where i can buy a cable for an Ipod to attac to the system.

To confess something really sad my youngest looked out of the window at 6 am this morning and asked if he could sit in it, so we are sitting in the D3 on the driveway and i am using the internet from here, wireless has some plus points.

I will take some pictures and put them up on the site soon.

You only get the map disk with sat nav,

I got an IPod cable from Comet. Since then I have now got a Griffin Itrip Mini, which works very well indeed, and charges the Ipod also.

itrip is illegal in the U.K.(wireless and telegraphy act 1948 as amended, i think), but chances of being pulled by dibble for it are v.slim/none.
No need for it in the Disco, as you've got an aux input behind the centre console, plus 12V socket to recharge.

The Belkin auto adaptor is pretty good, in that it charges and acts as a slight ampliier so that the feed to the 3.5mm is closer to line out levels. Translation: less of a volume shock when switching between CD/Radio and aux.
Belkin available at Apple, so you can order your new ipod nano at the same time Laughing

(cheaper version without amp part = here)
