I used these for my gearbox and diffs. Motul for the diffs. Fuchs for the manual gearbox.

Why are you using different oils in the diff and box Nodge?
Thought they were both the same grade of oil?

I bought what forum sponsor Opie Oils listed for the D3. The diffs use 75w90 full synthetic, this is the Motul Gear 300. The manual box uses a 75w80 full synthetic, hence the Fuchs Sintofluid. Wink

It is, although I think it's fairly widely acknowledged that it's just a very expensive 75W-90 gear oil in plain packaging labeled, "Special" Transfer Box Oil. Rolling Eyes

Transfer box oil seems a lot thinner to me than 75/90. I paid £23 a litre for the Special Land Rover stuff in cheap looking packaging, and £12 litre for Syntrax 75/90 so that's only about £16-£17 difference to put the proper stuff in the transfer box. Not much in the overall scheme of filter and oil costs when changing the lot Thumbs Up

I reckon its a lot thinner than 75/90 its almost like atf very thin.
Its dear but in all reality your average owner is only going to ever change it once and whats 50 quid in d3/4 ownership?
