Oil leak. 2.7tdv6

Having a nightmare. Ive had the body off and replaced the heads, injectors etc. Replaced all cam seals and rocker gaskets.

Put her all back together and the o/s front cam seal is leaking, theres also a leK coming from the module that bolts to the back of the same cam (has a rectangle offset rubber o ring) this was also replaced.

Is there an easy way of replacing the seal? Anyone had issues with non oem seals? Shall i use sealent? Tempted to just stick the original oem seal back in. 😞

The thing at the back is the brake vacuum pump.

If you have changed its seal, I would say it could be leaking from the cam cover gasket.
I would say, let it leak!

Yeah replace the front cam seal somehow

As a general rule all lip seals and O-rings need to be mounted with grease/oil (we use always silicon grease) on the lip (contact point rotating shaft)
the important exemption is/are hard teflon lip seals..
They need to be mounted dry

There may be exemptions, but then there will be a warning note with the seal/from factory
 Best regards
