Will test my MY14 this afternoon and let know of the outcome. Hope LR looks into this, it's a serious bad design.

Slightly late input to this particular thread but I have just tested my MY12 D4 oil pressure warning system and mine performed exactly the same as Robbie described above.
I see we never did get a response from CRC@LandRover
