Have you used Matford Drlex?

Nope, as I drive past Yeovil LR twice a day. However, there is some feedback on them that would support a visit, since they must be only an hour or so away from you.

I think I might try Yeovil then, as it seems most on here have had good service.

it could be a whole range of different things - the only way to see for sure is to get it connected up to diagnostic box - a dealer, "TenForCash" or "Wiggs" can help you

I was in Plymouth 2 weeks ago - shame I'm not there at the mo, or I could have had a look with my Rovacom ...

Have you tried the other key???

Might be a dead battery in the fob- just had to change one in my '05 D3.
You are aware of the 'emergency' entry procedure? Keyhole in passenger side front door handle under plastic cover plate, then unlock with dash button.

Yeah thanks DrLex, I can get in using the emergency procedure. I am going to get a new key sorted hopefully under warranty. I have seen a thread on here that shows how to change the battery even though the fob is supposed to be sealed for life. I may try this in the duff fob to keep as a spare. Is this what you did?

I've been using Matford for 15 years and have always had good service and they are part of the same group as Yeovil
