Does any one know how to remove the door trim? |
|
I have located a rattle in the passenger door between the pocket at the bottom and the door . The rattle arises on cold starts and on cetain bumpy rounds (we have loads of those in Surrey).
It will be a faf to put it into the dealer for such a minor niggle, does any one know how to take the door card off so I can have a peak''.
The window position makes no difference to the sound.
I can silence the rattle with slight upward pressure on the base of the trim at the bottom of the door about 2/3 way along from the hinge. I might try wedging some foam strips in the bottom of the door card to see of that helps. 2016 D4 Landmark

Actually I should win a prize for burk of the month, on trying to take the door pocket off, I found a screw driver nestling in the bottom. Screw driver removed, rattle gone - at least things will be quieter in the car now - I should never have doubed LR build quality - its been great for my first two months of my ownership. 2016 D4 Landmark

I am sure some dealers always charge for finding their screwdrivers - "Funny, mine doesn't do that......."

To be fair Guava my local Authorised repairier (they export new only) did a great job fitting side steps. They replaced a light bulb that had blown - no labour charge for that
I will see if I feel the same after they service the car in August.
A friend was charged £50 for a headlight bulb replacement on his Audi A2 - I know from experience on our A2 that it takes 5 minutes - undo two screws and the headlight drops out. 2016 D4 Landmark
