Preparation for France...fitted the cruise and stereo switches. Half an hour and job done and all working. Happy days.

Nice little trip
Back from the Mid Pyrenees...
Never missed a beat and returned approx. 30 mpg. Very happy. And she clicked over to 48000 during the trip...OMG she will nearly be on 50000 miles!!!
Sneakily did some ebay while her ladyship was at the pool and bagged myself a 17" alloy to replace the OE space saver thing only 15 minutes down the road on my return. Someone found out I was on ebay though
Now need new tyres as the original ones are pretty much done. 235 Continentals so need to do the tyre trawl for best prices.
All in all a really good run and happy as Larry with my girl.
Even gets a sunhat!!!!

Get yourself a spare wheel protector to go with your 17", otherwise some little will come along and ruin your winch and nick it

So finally got my finger out
1 x ebay bargain alloy shod in new rubber
Uncle Ray sent me this...
Some didn't see a large blue D3 parked at B&Q...apparently his parking sensors didn't go off...
All wheels nicely shod thanks to Andy @AJS
Moved home and now have to drive the dogs somewhere to run about. Two weeks and her ladyship has managed to get the inside in a state...
So bagged a bargain 20 minutes from home so they can moan like hell....
And she has said that she will fund a full valet...

She keeps going. No complaints. Dump run. Dog run. Short runs. Long runs...and even the fuel burner merrily fires up.
Think she may just be a long term keeper...MOT in March or April (better check really) but not really worried.

Some times they trundle quite happily causing no issues at all. I haven't had to lay a spanner on my D3 for about 3 or 4 years apart from normal servicing.Stu

Got them from site sponsor Advanced Factors. They really are a godsend in the dark (let alone actually letting people know you are reversing!) and I am going to upgrade the bulbs in both her ladyships old Merc and the MG.
Recommend you replace the interior bulbs as well. Easy to do and no fumbling in the dark any more Series 2a V8 killed it
