ordered Amk compressor kit from AF & fixed fbh. FITTED
so im still tinkering with olYog3
after finding the air dryer cap peeing out air the other day, I decided to get a Ally end cap, beads and filters...
today saw me trying to fit it...
trying..
I ordered a fitting kit too as the bolts/nuts were likely to break..
bottom two bolts no problem. top bolt NOT A cucking fhance!!
the ally bracket was crumbling, on the easy bolt, and alloy corrosion everywhere, so decided to fit just the end cap in situ...
easy enough and see how long it last was the plan..
until i put the two bolts back in.
bottom hidden one wont tighten up as I suspect nut is spinning, the easy bolt was eating away at5 the bracket as I lightly tightened.
so a new bracket, was my plan, and to snap old one from chassis,
then I thought about the two pipes that never release at the rear and mine are mank.
so my plan is to..
fit new AMK kit from AF
the old hitachi compressor will be serviced if possible with the bits I got
and maybe offered up for a muchcheapness sale
if yellow warning light comes back in next few days while waiting for new AMK, then I will bin it minus the airdryer+ally cap
FBH..
thought I would run it yesterday..
it promptly peed derv over the drive
push joint behind plastic wheel arch liner was seperated, no amount of effort would allow it to click back together, so removed, and replaced with fbh rubber pipe and crimp clips
smoking like a goodun this morning

Amk now fitted
Ordered Amk from Advanced Factors Thursday night
Received Monday
Top service as ever
Today I fitted it...
I snapped the old bracket off at the top, as couldn’t be armpitted to struggle with the bolt.
Has a read of DM’s how too beforehand
All pretty straight forward,
Changed relay, updated the firmware with Gap iid.
Clears faults..
The only snag I had was the pipe to the cable block blew off
I had to put the brass nut on the pipe and push the collar up snug, then attach to the valve block.
I did use the white inserts as instructed.
Then the same thing happened again on the other end of the pipe (compressor end)
Removed brass nut from compressor and fished out the collar
And attached the the pipe as I did previously.
All good so far
Getting the plastic cover to clip together was fun too
Old one was working perfect since new dryer cap fitted in situ last week.
Therefore I will be doing drying beads, filters etc
Remove the bracket as it’s fudged.
