looks a good place to start, he says right and left side of front doors. i guess he means in the corner of the footwells under the carpet where it gets full of water when you get a sunroof leak? which i have just resolved with new hoses....

Well it's a start at the very least this bit was the solution.
Problem now solved..the 12v feed wire to the all terrain module was the issue. A splice gone bad.
which looked positive, but as we all know a curve ball of a car for sure. I must say thought that i found this information regarding the fault in transfer case/terrain module twice whilst looking.
DMM fault finding it looks like, hope you find a good positive visual instead.
Good luck bud. Andy

Wow your in the thick of it eh,
If you can get the right area and manage to find this extract from that thread you may be ok
On the floor. To trace this one, look for a Light grey 14 pin connector on the A post.
pin number one is not used but 2 to 13 is look for pin 5. Red wire. pin 3 is purple with Green trace and White with Green trace. Now you should be able to find the correct connector, follow that red wire until you come to a splice. This is the SJ971 splice. This goes to pin 8 on the grey 24pin connector. You cant miss that connector, its the biggest one of em all. infront of the gear lever. Check and see if you have 12v on that splice or probe pin 8 on that connector and see what you have there. Remember to have good ground connection with the DMM to be sure no miss readings and put it to 20vDc.
good luck Andy

so stripped the both carpets out as they were still soaked from the sunroof leaks.
Sucked up all the remaining water, looms were immersed in it!!
going to replace all the splices i can find to be sure.
Only thing is the wires are all black, cant strip them back any further or they will be to short.
maybe i will have to put my own new splice in each one.

Anybody got the part number for the high/low range switch? gona replace that as cant find anything else wrong.
seen some threads saying they changed that and the fault went away.
cheers
Hi Folks
appreciate any help from this great forum to keep me on the right track
I have today a transmission error on the dash which decoded by IID comes back as the P1807-00 transfer case short circuit
I did have the dreaded sunroof drain fault 3 years ago which i fixed and dried out the cable loom channel (and all the carpets). The only issue i had at the same time was the remote entry which was fixed by reterminating the green & white splice. Reading through the various threads it seems this P1807 error is probably not a coincidence and caused by gradual corrosion of another splice in same location as the remote access green/white splice in the loom channel.
UK, RH Drive 4.4L auto HSE
Just to confirm the first thing for P1807 is that I am looking for a red wire splice in the cable loom in the channel close to passenger seat? All the trims are out, so its just a matter of finding the splice
Does anybody know if it is a simple 2 wire splice or 3 wire?
