Pairing garage opener 2012 D4

Dear experts:
I have installed a new rear view mirror to get both auto dim and garage opener. Auto dim works perfect, but I cannot seem to be able to pair the garage motor with the opener underneath the mirror using the stanadat Lift Master procedure. Is there a special "LR-way" to do this? Ligts are working in the mirror when I press the buttons so there is power.

The owners manual lays out the process.
First, have the mirror buttons “learn” the coding from an operational remote.
Then, pair the mirror button to the opener.

Not so easy this.
Is it possible to reset the buttons in the mirror in any way?
I think I have messed it up real good with all my fiddeling...

IIRC, it tok me about an hour with many repetitions to pair my (2) Hormann doors and 1 Gatemaster Gate actuators.

Keep trying.

Canada 2015 LR4 3.0 SCV6 HSE Lux Auto Aintree GreenLR4

I use the Canadian English version of the owner's manual.
It seems straight forward to me as I have had no issues.

1. You could start with "Erase all programming" Entirely optional. This has no effect on additional programming.
2. DO complete the section "Before Programming". This provides a seed to each of the buttons.
3. Then, proceed to the section that is required. I use the "Rolling Code" section whether programming new, or re-programming.

A tip: I do this programming whilst the vehicle is in the garage but I can still easily reach the "learn button" on the opener.

I wouldn't say I had no issues - just followed the manual and kept repeating when failed.

I do seem to remember that I checked (somewhere?? - on the Homelink pages in the Manual) for device compatibility.

This video is too new. I have a 2012 D4 and no blinking inside the mirror.
