Paris trip advice

SWMBO and I are off to Paris Sat-Mon, thankfully missing the General Strike tomorrow and hopefully it'll be okay by Sat.

This is all rather last minute and haven't booked hotel yet, so would love recommendations.
Thinking of doing a Segway tour as we really, really enjoyed the one we did in Rome.

Also, I have £150 global dining credit from Amex.
If anyone has any recommendations from the list that'd be great!

There are lots of great restaurants but try not to be a tourist. . I’ve never found a bad one. Just go with the flow.

A nice brunch / lunch is L’Occitaine on the Champs Elysse. There is also a good restaurant opposite under a blue canopy on the pavement - the name escapes me though but I can picture it!

This is also a great little restaurant near Notre Dame: -

La Crème de Paris Notre-Dame, Quai Saint-Michel, Paris, France - the tarte tatin is amazing. Be prepared for chilled red though!

For a good night out with good food, music and dancing have a look at these restaurant / clubs in the Latin quarter where there are loads of restaurants -

If you fancy a trip then the Palais de Versailles is cool. Good restaurants in Versailles are:

I live on Amex so I suspect they will take it but in general the French don’t like it.

We’re out for my daughter’s 18th in March. Wish me luck!

Thanks for this Moo.
The trip has been delayed until the weekend after next...thankfully not Valentines weekend as that is painfully expensive in Paris!

I went a few years back and stayed at Versailles overlooking the gardens. Lovely place and a short hop on the metro into Paris.

Last minute deal so I wasn't paying the 600 Euros a night cost for the suite and had breakfast included.

In a previous life I used to work in Paris / Versailles. I loved it, but Paris on an expense account verses my account is less painful! Laughing

Mind you, not sure SWMBO or my daughter got the memo! Big Cry Laughing
