My park brake has been playing up for the last few days, basically not releasing first time, a re-boot would usually clear the fault. Had to use the car this morning and found that the brake released first time. When I got back home from hunting and gathering via a green lane or two. I found that the park brake wont engage or apply. I have called L R A and they will be with me at 13:20 In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

LRA just turned up and run a diagnostic check on my D3. Guess what my park brake does not work. The park brake module is not responding. The assistance chap told me to get it booked into my dealer. My dealer cant do the work until the 5th Jan. I then called LRA to inform them of this, a replacement car (Large 4x4) will be delivered to me tomorrow morning. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Good Luck Andrew,
My dealer (another thread on this) charged me £530 for new disks pads and shoes for this. The day after we went into Wales off roading (are you planning any more trips?). Blamed dirt in the brakes to start with (you havn't been off roading have you?). Then got a call saying needed the whole lot replacing. Only the strange thing is I kept the parts one side perfect no problems other side scrap shoes and disk with big crack in it.
Keep me posted I will be very interested in out come. It is now booked into Ludlow they are going to report back to Land Rover Customer Services - who I would say were very helpfull.
There is a TSB for a dislodged clip.
Cheers

Shukers should look after you. Mention the forum and my name to Ken on reception and if you speak to him, Mick the service manager (may help).
When mine failed they just replaced the whole shooting match and also put new pads on the rear just in case.
All under warranty.
So far never had any cause for complaint about them since 1997 when I had my 1st Freelander.

Simon,
Just from a phone call I would say they are 100% better than any other dealer I have dealt with.
I am sure the LR experience is just about to improve. A bit peeved about a 80 mile round trip to a decent dealer though.
Cheers

Duncan
What you did with your car 'off roading' did not damage your brakes or mine for that matter. At the end of the day you did not go places the other cars went. Please mention the site as simon says, also mention my name to Mick Hes a top bloke 8)
BTW Can you please tell me who your sh*t dealer is and the people/person you have dealt with at that dealer. I would love to book my car in for the next issues/service it has. I would love to flush out these To**ers. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Andrew, I know our day out didnt damage anything, they are just trying it on, It was Landrover. I will name and shame them once I have my problems sorted out. It was Mike Richardson I spoke to at Ludlow and I did mention the site and he was aware of it. More than I could say about who seemed less clued up about the Disco than me and slightly off that I had been on the GTR website they kept asking how I knew so much!!! half an hour trawling through this site would open there eyes I think.
I will let you know how I get on.
PS Simon booked in for the 4th Jan
PPS Andrew Sent you a PM with the Dealer name 15 3.0 RRS HSE - Silver

Are you waiting ? May join you for a coffee if I can get mine booked in too - have a clunking underneath front passenger side.
And your dealer may wish to know that you bought a Land Rover and they are built to go off road
