Lifting the body to replace engine.
A problem had emerged. Cannot loosen th parking brake emergency release cable.
Is there a trick how to do it at the end where you pull?

All you have to do is twist it. Quarter of a turn. It should just pull out then.

maybe I was unclear in my question.
To be able to lift the body I have to loosen the emergency parking brake cable where it is attched on the body.
Under the cupholders.
Seems difficult to get it free.
Twist what?

From under the vehicle. The cable runs up by the transfer box. You twist it from there. Not from inside the car.
