Petrol Si6- Has anyone got one in Norfolk, I could try?

Does anyone have the si6 petrol in the East of England that i would let me have a quick go?

I drove the 2.0 Diesel today and it felt very slow compared to my X5 hybrid, so i'm going back this weekend to drive the 3.0 Diesel.

Does anyone have any experience remapping the engine of their new Discovery 3.0 Diesel or Si6 petrol?

Presumably the Si6 could benefit from a smaller pulley on the supercharger??

I don't think anyone has seen a Si6 Disco yet?

I have a Jag FType with the same engine, and it is a superb motor, very smooth and has a sound to get the soul excited, it's also very fast (in the FType)

Economy wise, in the Jag I can squeeze 30 mpg on a long run. Realistic consumption in the Jag is 22-24 mpg.

I'm sure I read somewhere that the sound was due to an active exhaust on the jag which the disco won't get Sad ?

there is a video on you tube of a guy making the FPace supercharged sing and it sounds lovely but apparently it wont in disco form Evil or Very Mad

I've no idea about the D5 and active-exhaust. My Jag did not have the switchable active-exhaust when I got it. However I have retro fitted the switch and it now works.

It's a pneumatic solenoid operated valve on the rear silencer. I suspect if the D5 doesn't get the valves, then you'll be stuck without.

Even with the valve closed, the Jag still sounds great!
