I'm no mathematician by any means but I'm sure that even 1200-odd quids worth of extended warranty is still far less than a year's worth of depreciation on a 3 year old D3...?
at least that's the logic I am going to apply to mine and theeeeennn......???

Here is a picture of the Red Pearls rad after Salisbury. Look no mud. I off road my vehicles quite a lot.... but I do respect them and yes they break and get fixed. However I do treat them with care, a lot of care and respect. TBH if you are going to drive your car into mud filled puddles so fast that it forces muddy water into the engine bay like the picture above then you will get problems.
