I can distinctly remember similar comments about the d3 and d4 when they came out. People used to compare them to a Ford transit.
It seems we get "used" to them and then take to them more.
I used to say a D3 looked like a black cab!
The thing is every man and their dog knows what a D3/4 is, how many know what their replacement looks like? not many I would wager.
