IIRC, they have clear gloss, a bit like a lacquer which you spray over the base coat.

I have plastidipped spare a few weeks back to check how it goes and all....

I have to say I am not a fan of it no more as there are always areas of easy lift especialy along the spoke edges so first karscher wash and it would have to be peeled off

note: applied 4 coats of the stuff

powder coat is cool but permanent leave silver

Black all the way!
Both sets of my rims are, the road set is in Plastidip - no problems.
Off-Road set is done in an epoxy paint - great but nothing stops rock rash!

BEST THING OF ALL - NO BRAKE DUST showing, unlike the standard silver. Wink

Did mine last week, but it was a bit breezey and I think the paint on the last coat dried mid air as it has fallen off.
The look is lie I missed some reas even though I checked and repainted four tomes to remove.

I have no ordered more cans to repair/thicken the coats as it is definateley better than the scabby rims as were!
Long term I would use a professional service but this is a good stop gap. Plus if your not happy with matt you can either add a gloss overlay or an Aluniniser layer to take it back to looking like alloys!?
