***ADVERT***
Here is the advert in its entirety. If anyone fancies going to have a look at it for me (payment of course!) and also tow it to portsmouth or trailer it (payment again!)
I'm regretfully having to put my 2006 Land Rover Discovery 3 up for sale. It's the 2.7 TDV6 HSE Auto, so it comes fully loaded being the HSE. The car is Java Black with full cream leather upholstery. covering only 123,153 miles from new, the interior is in superb condition with no rips or tears. 7 seats, Air conditioned glove boxes and centre console fridge, full factory fitted LR sat nav. 18inch alloy wheels, again in great condition with good depth tread all round and no scuffs or kurbing, spare alloy wheel in new condition, tinted rear windows. There is just one small scuff on one of the rear over fenders which can easily be replaced. We have an extensive service history with the car. Regardless of service intervals, the oil has been changed approx every 5,000 miles. We have MOT until 3rd March this year. The car is HPI clear. Private plate is not included in the price.
The car has not been used much since the end of summer last year due to me being ill and not being able to drive. I started the car in the new year, however once it started we had rough idle and more smoke than you'd usually get. Ideally the car will need to be towed away, however if you did decide to drive it away, it's up to you - it does run and drive but it smokes quite a bit so I would not advise it.
It's a great car and I am sad to see it go but due to my health, I need to part with it.
If you have any questions, please send a message. If you wish to ask any questions.
Viewing is possible, the car is based in Chobham, Surrey.
Thank you

It’s probably worth a chance which I would have but for the tax issue
Mark
If the difference between the 2 rfl costs is too much for you, I wouldn't consider owning a D3. They are very lovely, but very expensive to keep running (properly).New gearbox & TC, 3 x front wheel bearings, belts changed, new oil pump, new battery, new rear prop, new front prop, new front diff, front arb refurbed, front cv boot kit, egr blank and BAS software patch, full rear suspension / drivelive rebuild, new front arms, LED trailer light fix, split charge.
Never had a 107, 90 or 127, but have had most of the rest!

That’s right they are expensive to maintain, and the extra expense of the tax can go to keeping it in good order. Besides in my case I already have one other car at a tax rate of £305 and I can only drive one at a time so in my personal case it means it is an issue for me

It all depends what it needs doing to it. If it needs a new engine it's only worth scrap, or what it can get stripped down. Find a comparable car, same age, spec & mileage and see what they are selling for (which often isn't what the sticker price is so easier said than done), knock £3,800 off and that's where your spending break even point is. If the engine is toast it's worth naff all, if it's simple and cheap you're in the money.

Unfortunately I'm away for quite a while, family stuff before my little bruv emigrates. Plus I'm the resident non-techie. I wouldn't really know what I'm looking at.
