Poundland - Autoworks

hi

this might sound a bit ridiculous, considering how much we spend on the actual car, but has anyone used Poundland's cleaning products (Autoworks)?

Ok to use high-pressure washers?

I don't want to spend too much time cleaning and am not a big friend of the various car washes (read they tend to use aggressive material).

Never used them but I've always suspected margins on 'branded' car care products would be very high - give it a go - if they are crap, you've not wasted a fortune and I cant see it damaging your paintwork any more than the stuff they use in the drive through 'hand' washes.

I always use a Karcher on mine - usual rules dont fire at electrics, seals etc

I was mine every couple of weeks, use a foamer on the Karcher, sponge off with Autoglym shampoo, dry off with a chamois and they (most times) aqua wax - takes about 45 mins

My father in law bought some of the pound shop tyre shine spray and alloy cleaner and neither of them made anything any more shiny or cleaner to be honest.

I have loads of their micro fibre cloths though which seem good value for around the house and the car windows.

Mate who used to do up motorbikes as a side line reckoned their aerosol paint was okay.
