Power Steering Fluid Leak

whilst having some wiring done by TFC last week he noticed my power steering fluid was a bit low. Its at the MIN level.

the car was serviced 3,000 ago and I would have thought the dealer would have topped up / checked cause, OR its lost fluid since the service. TFC suggested it may be coming from the pump but we couldnt see any leak and I didnt have time to take all the skid plates off to check.

Does anyone have any photos of what I'm looking for and/or has experienced the same problem. I'll be passing the dealer later this morning so will call in and get some fluid so i can top up and monitor it.

Thanks
 Duncan

Dunc, don't fret. Just keep a regular eye on the level of the fluid. If it is still dropping, then fret! if its not dropping from the current level then the dealer didn't check it. Its not worth ripping your car apart at this stage Thumbs Up

I had a ps fluid leak.

Called my dealer who advised me to get LRA to recover my vehicle to them, just in case.

LRA did this & arranged for a TDV8 FFRR as a courtesy car.

The fault was traced to an O ring that had been "pinched" slightly during assembly & had finally failed.

I had a power steering leak and it was from the rack. New rack fitted under warranty. Razz Razz

Didn't say the pump, input shaft seal on the rack is probably the cause Wink

I didn't bother to ask Embarassed Embarassed

I assumed it was somewhere on the rack.

Ditto on Betty. But the PS fluid level was always on minimum level (other than when it leaked, obviously)
