In the owners manual it says one reason the air suspension may fail would be due to no gas. I raise and lower my car everytime I get in and out which could be around 20 times a day. Would I expect the gas to run out very soon and if I need to regas how expensive will this be

How heavy is it? can I carry some spare air in the boot ?
Maybe a roof box would be more suitable

Andrew... thanks again for looking to help us here on the forum. I was getting concerned that my pressured air would run out too but felt too ashamed to mention is here
I have been plugging the gaps in the air tanks with a paste made from Marmite and Golden Syrup. The hope was that this would work long term but I've found the dog like the taste and has now taken to chasing other D3's around town looking for a fix.
She is now very adept at jumping into the front and flicking the paddle to lower the suspension. This of course exasperates the issue as I have to use more gas to raise it back up again
Again, thanks for this and I now feel far less embarrassed talking about this issue openly.

what are the warranty implications and if you no longer decide to do group buys regarding the air then where could I source it to. do you know how much postage would be and would the product be contaminated if sent via air mail
No need to sign up for this; I have found a number of places on the D3 that act as air stores. In particular I find the tyres to be a convenient place to source an emergency supply of air for the suspension.
If you're careful when doing this you'll find the tyres only go flat at the bottom, so careful driving will let you run on the inflated bit of the tyre at least 75% of the time.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I can assure you that I have full backing from the local Cake Shop, so should anything terrible happen to me or the group buy then Betty's Buns will honour all agreements/purchases/warranty's.
As far as delivery goes and this applies to anywhere in the world.
Here is the plan.
You get yourself an air tank, you then drive to your local garage or tyre centre. You connect your air tank to the compressed air line on the desired premises. At this point you call me and give me your credit card details. Once payment has been authorised I will press the button this end and through the wonders of modern technology pressurised air will then be pumped into your tank In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Just mount an air tank on the roof and buy my special filler, designed to capture all the air expelled from the D3's suspension systems
I'm still looking for a good name for it, however the development codename is 'funnel'
All you then do is drive as fast as you can with the special attachment at the front of the air tank to capture all the lost air!
now all I need to do is work out a way of sticking the cork back in on the move as the air tends to liberate itself when you stop

No. You'll just have to trust me. I'm the kind of guy you can trust. It's my middle name, trust is. Although it's spelt differently. And sounds different too.
Anyway, air is free (unless you buy it here) so what have you got to lose from trying?
I should mention that you will need a special hose (known as the DIS 3. .UK) to connect your tyres to your compressor so the air only flows into, not out of the compressor*. It's totally weightless, takes up no space and is completely transparent. Obviously it comes complete with very distinctive window stickers so everyone will know you have purchased this essential upgrade. They are available in white, silver, black or orange and can be specified for internal or external fitment.
