Strange thing happened this morning!
While on 'the school run', I got out the D3 with keys in hand to get offspring, on return heard my radio blasting (on Radio 2 may I add, but that is my fault!) Got into car and (Still with keys in hand) tried to turn off/adjust volume/put CD on... nothing, just Barry Manilow singing his wee heart out - bless!
Then put keys in ignition, and started engine - still no control over Barry!
Turned off engine and started again and all normality was resumed!
Got home and tried various senarios again, but didn't repeat.............
Any idea's (Ps I had service No.1 done yesturday and had some remapping done to help cure 'flat spot' - which has helped no end!)
Thanks, VCZ 3 Est-ce que bonjour, vous aime ma nouvelle découverte brillante gentille trois, je pense qu'elle regarde les boules de chiens, pas vous ?

You may have a software 'gremlin'. Last month my mate had an opposite problem, it did'nt work at all. He could'nt turn the radio or CD on, it was totally dead. He took it to the local dealers and they simply disconnected the battery terminals and held the free ends together and counted to ten. When the battery was reconnected everything worked as advertised!!

Barry Manilow... That's unusual.
It's normally Tom Jones - That's - Not Unusual...
(sorry...) "Funny, mine doesn't do that......."

Blummin' typical innit?
I have the D3 for 1 year.... NO PROBS AT ALL with the radio.... have a wee software update to reduce 'hesitation' on acceleration and it knocks out the Radio 2 receiver!!!!!
Thanks to those who answered and I guess another trip to Mr Stealer?

The other day I got in the car and the radio was on but no sound. Changed to CD and still no sound, pushed fast forward and the CD went fast forward and would not stop even when I changed to the radio - still with no sound - only way to stop the CD was eject it.
Turned car off and on and all was OK!
Put it down to them there gremlins!

I have the base model, and had exactly the same problem, played about with the radio for ages, then I started the engine, I could then turn off the radio, and turn it back on.
I have never had that problem come back again.
Also the car has not had it's 1st service yet, so it can't be put down to anything the dealer did.
And it was Rod Stewart singing at the time, much better than Barry Manalow. Land Rover Dicovery 3. 5 Seats.
