Not had a problem with mine. They do need a good push thump to get them seated and place properly and they go on the "wrong way" I.e. they should be fitted so that they curve towards the outside of the car which is counter intuitive (I originally fitted mine the other way and they got too squashed).

Did you follow my guide, including the bit where you warm them and use rubber care or silicone lube?
Mine went on the 'right' way too.

Hi,
If the seals are fitted correctly they should never come loose or come off. You have to make sure they are seated all the way into the channel and they should be fitted with the seal curling outwards away from the car.
You have to push quite hard to get the seal up into its seated position.
Thanks,
Ben

My curl bends towards the vehicle, but they seem ok. I was working without instructions too.
Warm seals, a bit of silicone lube and some gentle taps from below with a soft faced or rubber mallet gets them seated nice and easy.
Not sure I want to peal-off the seal to mount the the other way around though. I suspect they may not take kindly to be removed and refitted.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Robbie,
We don't warm the seal or apply any lubricant and we manage to get them on without too much trouble.
The curl should bend away from the vehicle, if it doesn't the extra pressure on the seal will cause it to deteriorate over time. They should pull off without damaging them.
Thanks,
Ben

Hi Ben,
I'll spin them around next time the car is clean. The rubber lube and slight warming does make it easier to install any rubber parts. A tiny spray of silicone makes hoses in particular an effortless job, likewise with rubber grommets on cables and looms. Give it a go, you will be amazed!

Mine seem to be fitted nice and tight but think I did fit them curve inwards which is why they must always look wrinkled when you shut the door D4 HSE Lux MY16 Club Waitomo

Just make sure the chosen lubricant matches the material of the rubber item in question, some will degrade with potentially catastrophic results Altox GSM FBH controller thread

Indeed, rubber care or silicone spray are the safest and best to use. Petroleum based greases would not be good.

I'll take a look later but whilst the rear door seals went on ok the front door, especially drivers side just seems to work loose and fall out.
Maybe it needs just needs some gentle persuasion with a mallet
I'm assuming the door edge "cuts" in to the seal to make a tight fit as the edge was deeper than the groove in the seal so assumed it needed to cut in.MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)
