Pulsing in Revs from Engine
Noticed this twice now - once when driving on the Motorway in cruise about 75mph and yesterday when driving on the dualler at about 55mph. Stange lurching in speed where the revs seem to go up and down by 100 or so rpm. You sort of see the rev counter pulsing up and down. It's not really a drop in revs, more so an increase. But it's like a throbbing sort of increase, about the same as a heart rate/pulse.
Anyone else noticed this?If in doot, flat oot!!

Yep, Since I had the recall work done a couple of months ago mine has done the same. If I take my foot off the throttle then put my foot down again it pulses and you can feel it and see the revs going up and down.
It's really annoying but I just haven't been arsed to take it back yet. Mines a D3 though.Global Warming.... I'm luvvin it

Tis going in on 19th anyway for something else (dash illumination prob and gear box fault error). Shall mention it then but doubt they'll be able to trace any fault. Did have a slight smell of burnt oil when I stopped last night as well..... hmm.If in doot, flat oot!!

Did you ever get this issue resolved, I have a similar problem that they can't seem to fix.

I get mine back later today will post findings. Already had software update and turbo solenoids replaced but it was still pulsing then the reduced performance triangle but diagnostics showed no fault. Dealer been very good RRS courtesy car, which brings another point, the RRS seems so much smoother on power delivery and gear selection plus more economical. Anyone else have similar findings on RRS?

Isn't it related to the auto-gearbox - I seem to recall some similar behaviour on D3 where the boxes needed double-flush. But not on a new D4

Mine is a cracked EGR tube whatever that is and i'm still waiting for them to get the parts in Global Warming.... I'm luvvin it

Got it back today, throttle body needed replaced on advice from LR uk. Hopefully that's it sorted.
