Looks like a great engine...power up...speed up...and same economy? That would be an interesting comparison.

Looks like they're giving the FFRR our nice TR system too! I wonder if your average butler is going to be able to manage to work TR out successfully! Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Anyone care to punt on when and if the TDV8 will be available in the Disco 3?
With 40-50% more power and the same fuel economy it must be a great option for the Disco. I imagine they would want the Range Rover to be the only kid on the block with the new engine for a while though to make it special.
We have waitied five months now for our car so a longer wait would not matter at this point as I am past the point of caring!

According to some sources the V8 will be available in the LR3 by 2008 in the U.S. - no news on the rest of the globe as yet 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
