Re-call - Rotary Wiring Fracture

Just had a call from the *dealer that did my last service - Stratstones, Stockton.
Said there is a Rotary Wire Fracture re-call on my year model.
Seemingly they want it in to check that all the wiring is OK.
[they couldn't explain why it was called 'rotary'].
Said it would only take 20 min to do the job.
Anyone else heard/had this re-call???

*seems strange I've not had a call from my existing dealer - Ripon Land Rover

Sounds like the Rotary Coupling in the steering wheel which ensure a constant electrical connection for the Airbag etc. I so yes, I've had this replaced several and then got a recall aswell, but that's on a 55 plate.
LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

It is as MrH says, the rotary coupling in the steering wheel, mine had the recall done at the end of September at the same time as its 3rd service.

Just had second service done, and this wiring recall was done along with another recall regarding tow bar electrics. Car is a 56 my. Did not receive a recall notice so not sure of the urgency of the fix Confused
