Do They Really Think This Is A Good Deal??

My local main dealer has closed 2 small dealerships and opened a new super dooper one up the road.

Consequently I’ve received several emails, the most recent offering me a £1500 deposit contribution and an APR of 10.9% on a PCP deal Shocked Shocked

Is it me or have LR dealers taken the same non reality pill as your average MP!!

And just to rub the salt in, if I did bother to take a drive down there I’d be told my 2015 D4 was the creation of Satan and they’ll offer me sixpence Big Cry

How they can send out stuff like that and claim it’s a great deal is beyond me.
I do realise I could probably haggle a better deal, but why send the stuff in the 1st place!!

As every day passes I think my 20 year old marriage with LR is heading for divorce.

I got a £4K “contribution” for taking out the 10.9% PCP deal on my 2017 FFRR. I’ll be moving that to another finance company this month at 5.9%. Whistle

Take the finance contribution and pay it off ASAP.

I kept one a grand total of 22 hours before cancelling it at a cost of £6 odd.

I got the impression that the dealership knew what I was up to and discouraged the practice, but I’ve heard that if you cancel before 28 days, they have to repay commission for you taking out the deal.

S Censored t happens. Thumbs Up

I keep looking at that offer. Seems a bit too good to be true. Have up to the 31st Dec to make up my mind and to try and persuade the wife that we really do need a 5.0 V8 for taking the dogs around (as a fourth car).

Maybe an SDV8?

I believe you have a 14 day cooling off period with a finance deal, and if you cancel in that period there are zero charges.

I just did this on my car.

Cheers

I was happy to make one payment at the stupid rate. I told the LR dealer before agreeing the deal exactly what I’d be doing.

I understand the principle of paying the loan off straight away, but I found the £1500 contribution more insulting.

Admittedly it’s been a few years since I’ve been in the market, but I thought big diesels were being given away these days Whistle

Judging by the way the value of mine goes down every time I go on WBAC they don’t seem to be in great demand.
