Rear Brake Pads

The light has just come on to tell me to change the rear brake pads. I've changed brake pads/discs on my previous two cars so not a complete novice but not far off Wink A couple of questions.

Is Bodsy's Brake Bible applicable to the D4?

I'd like to stick with OEM parts, where is the cheapest to get them?

Am a bit time pushed at the moment

Local dealer wants £230 to change the pads and the sensor Big Cry

Also buy the sensor as this can break when removing, if OK keep ready for next time!

I would recommend the low dust pads from Advanced Factors, keeps your wheels nice and shiny 8)

I replaced mine last week. Bodsey's Bible will work for you, although don't take it as gospel, there may be subtle differences.

A decent jack and axle stands are a must, the weight still surprises me, and I worked on HGV's for years Wink

Top tip is once calliper out of the way remove and grease the calliper sliders, often forgotten only to rear its ugly head later on.

So I phoned one of the two local independent Land Rover garages and they quoted me £90 for Ferodo rear pads, sensor and labour. Since I am short of time I’ll let them change them.

Plus there is an excellent independent Canadian burger cafe opposite Laughing

Thanks for the advice though.
