Rear Bumper Lights

Just bought a set of the led brake / reverse lights that replace the rear bumper reflectors. Is anyone able to let me know the colour coding for the wires in the rear light clusters so I can tap into the brake and revers light cables?
Cheers

I would suggest that you Search for the wiring diagram on here. I think the best access is from the tow adaptor sockets behind the nearside rear cubby box

Interesting point

The ones I was looking at were mostly reflector and only the edge lights up. Looked to be a small cluster of red LEDs. Looking again now and the whole thing seems to be LED

I bought a set too and wired them into the tow bar wiring. Very bright and look really good!

regarding reflectors … we had a discussion about it here http://disco4.com/forum/rear-reflector-col...=reflector

Have a look at other cars … some don't seem to have them unless they are "hidden" as part of the light clusters.

Easy enough to fit into the actual bumper Neil?

I bought the white ones so the are dual purpose both reverse and brake or marker lights and now looking at MOT requirements I may well come unstuck at MOT time. Legal requirement to have 2 rear reflectors. I have been looking lots at other vehicles and a good 30% don't have them but possibly part of the rear light cluster? IM hoping to fit this weekend and as they just click into the space left by the factory reflector it would be simple enough to just swap over at MOT time.

I note Neil that you decided to use towing electrics to tap into. Any chance of a bit more detail on where you accessed and wiring colours. I guess it didnt trigger the front screen to ask if you have a traier attached as i have tow assist and when i hook up a trailer it askes me to cofirm conection and select trailer etc?
Cheers
