Rear end still creaking
I've just replaced the n/s lower rear arm bushes after my car suddenly developed a horrendous suspension creak .... but its still there ! Before I started I was convinced it was the rear most lower arm bush and when I did eventually get the arm off it did look pretty grim. One thing that worried me on reassembly was that although the arm bushes bolted in easily, the air strut was a real shove to get lined up and I had great difficulty getting the hub back into the arm as it seemed off line by about 10mm meaning I had to lever the hub forwards to get the knuckle bush to slot into the arm.
I can't really understand why that was so difficult as it came out easily and when I replaced the opposite side lower knuckle bush last week I had no issues. Even with the Mrs bouncing on the towbar its very hard to identify exactly whats still creaking but Im beginning to fear its the front lower arm bush I just replaced.
I copper greased everything and can't see how I could have refitted anything wrongly but the alignment issue has me wondering. Anyone got the T shirt on this one ?

Thanks for the ideas, I'll disconnect the anti roll bar drop links and see if that then pinpoints the bushes. Still a concern that the hub was so hard to line up though.

SORTED
Disconnected the rollbar drop link and it made no odds. Put it up and down a few times with a jack on the hub and was convinced it was the lower arm front bush I'd replaced so stripped everything out again. Everything appeared fine so I double checked the manual for bush orientation ...... and then ..... realised my mistake.
I'd failed to load up the suspension before tightening the 2 arm pivot bolts Jacked it up to 485mm (driveshaft to wheel arch) then tightened the bolts and hey presto all quiet.
I know , when something on a disco seems simple ....RTFM , at least twice !!
Bit of a thread revival here but I need to replace the upper and lower hub carrier bushes on my D4 and wondered if anyone's posted a 'How to' or can give me some indication of the steps please?Front Runner Rack, OEM Ladder & RAI, Tuff-Trek Foxwing, B'rakhah Ingonyama Expedition Trailer, RLD's Spare Wheel Protector, Bodsy's Bars, Empty Pockets!
