Rear entertainment window switches

I have a Disco 05 SE and have bought a couple of window switches with the mode and volume buttons. The windows go up and down no problem, but how to know if the audio switches are working. Is there something missing??

Plug the earphones in and switch radio on, now see if you can change it over onto cd or Aux using the switch Thumbs Up

Not sure if I am being a bit dumb here, I plug in headphones and with the CD playing from the front nothing appears to happen.

The only switch doing anything is the window.

Is it the case that SE is not compatible with these switches which are normally in an HSE??

there are 2 plugs that go into the switch. the SE doesnt normally have them. You need the door harness from the HSE you got the switches from. once its all plugged in plug some headphones in and press volume and mode buttons a few times. it will come alive

Brilliant that is very helpful, I guessed something was missing.

Thanks very much.

The CCF has the rear entertainment audio controls as 'unfitted' as standard but others have said that it hasn't been necessary to enable them. FWIW if you decide to do the third row controls the loom is already there behind the side trim.
