Rear nearside door not unlocking
The door won't unlock with the central locking and I have attempted to manually unlock by moving the lock button with no success - has anyone any suggestions.
I have searched the forum but am unable to find a previous post about this.
Mine is at dealers at the moment for the same feature that has appeared on rear off-side door. I'm not convinced they will do much about it, as it has become an intermittent fault.
You guessed! It's fine today!A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

Thanks for that - however mines not intermittent. Any advice on how to remove the door panel without being able to open the door?

It is posted somewhere on the site. Get some one to push the unlock button in the vehicle while you tug on the door handle. Worked to release mine, eventually had a few goes before it released. Then replaced the central looking mechanism for that door.

I have tried that a few times without success - any other ideas. I think I may have to get the door panel off to release it - however this may be difficult with the door closed!!

Not sure if you have but perhaps try it with the engine running as the voltage on the d3 can vary a lot. when cold the voltage is 15 odd this might just wake up the lock motors. Good luck.

TBH when I pull the cable it feels as if its not connected at the other end - any suggestions.
Just got mine back from dealer with a new mechanism under warranty. When asked, the comment was made that "locks do fail". And that is after only 21k miles. Hope they fix yours as quick.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Navigator, yes they do - I've already replaced both top and bottom rear tailgate locks by the dealer and unfortunately discovered a week later that the they had put soft dents in both tailgates - I'm very reluctant to use the dealer this time, vehicle is out of warranty anyway.

I posted a how to for changing the door latch, but not sure how easy it would be to do if your door won't open at all.
Maybe with the window regulator out of the way you can move some linkages around to open the door. The failure is usually worn motor brushes. The method of someone pulling the handle at the exact time the unlock button on the keyfob is pressed usually overcomes the problem as mentioned above.
