Rear Parking Sensors
Anyone have a problem with rear parking sensors in Disco3. I have had my TDV6 HSE about 3 months, sensors sometimes work, sometimes don't work at all, sometimes come on after 5 or 10 seconds. Dealer says he's looking into it with LR Aust and says he has not heard of the problem before.

Yes, common problem, believe there is a software fix.
On mine (manual) I have to stay stationary a second or two before they come onThe End

My car is in today getting a new PDC ECU fitted, The LR dealer got the LR bulletin. If a dealer in WA can get the info surely it should not be a problem for dealers in the Eastern States to get the same info. I wont know if its fixed as my car is also in for a paint problem. Should get it back this week but will not be able to test it as I have been banned from driving after back surgery. Dealer picked the car up from my home and is returning it... The service manager didn't seem too surprised when I told him about this site and gave him a printout of the fix for it. Said it should not be a problem. I'll let you know if they fix it.Maya Gold June 05 Disco3 HDV6 HSE AT2 Tyres Mitchell Bros Tow Hitch

I have had the PDC ECU replaced and the rear parking sensors now work as they should both using the auto brake release and releasing the park brake manually. TDV6 SE (Ausie Spec) COOOL Chawton White.

I picked up my car tonight, everything fine so far. The service manager told me they replaced the PDC ECU to remedy the parking sensor problem and also replaced the header tank for the radiator header tank that appeared to have a faulty sensor as it was showing the header tank needed topping up on round abouts and up hills. I suggest you go into the Technical section on the home page and print out some of the information on the parking sensor problem and take it into them. It took that before they acted on my problem. The service manager didn't seem to concerned when I did that, he actually was quite interested in the information that I had. When I picked up the car he showed me the service bulletin from LR confirming what I had showed him. Good LuckMaya Gold June 05 Disco3 HDV6 HSE AT2 Tyres Mitchell Bros Tow Hitch

sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but i'm new to this....problem with front offside parking sensor not working.....is the sensor easy to replace / costly / likely to be wiring rather than the sensor? Any advice welcome....I'm located in the midlands
