Been thinking of doing the same
My wifes beetle has it as standard - its a tough clear plastic that's cut/shaped and stuck to the front lower part of the rear wheel arch where its exposed to stone chips.

Just cleaning the car the other day and noticed small chips in the same area and also wondered if there was anything available, it was not so obvious on the darker coloured D3 but on the white D4 it shows up. Group buy perhaps if anything suitable out there?

A mate of mine does vehicle wrapping for commercial vehicles i'll ask him if there is anything suitable in vynil.
If he can do it i'll ask him to run some samples off for us to test. Thumbs Up

This is the clear film on a beetle

This Guy has been recommended to me because I am thinking about putting it on the new D4 when it comes. He uses 3M Ventureshield Paint Protection Film which I would assume is available from other suppliers as he is quite local to me.

Got something very similar to Royalance on the GTR _ tough clear film that protecets the sill and the leading edge of the rear arches. I'm sure this stuff MUST be a worthwhile investment Smile
